Photography contest and exhibition for BSMMU Alumni Inauguration

20 best images will be exhibited on gallery at Inauguration Program and printed on program souvenir

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. Three best images will get the winner's prize


2. All entries are to be the original work of the entrant


3. A limit of five (5) images per individual will be accepted. Each entry will be judged individually.


4. Photographs can be taken in any style or format (black and white or color)


5. Only JPG/JPEG format will be allowed for submission


6. File size 3MB to 12 MB


7. Minimum resolution 240 dpi


8. Image size must be minimum 3000 pixel at any side


9. No watermark or border in the image will be accepted


10. Both photos taken by smartphone or digital cameras will be accepted


11. The entrant will be solely responsible for any copyright infringement issues that may arise


12. All entries are to be available for reproduction and/or publication by the Alumni committee


13. Successful images printed for the purposes of the competition and exhibition will not be for sale


14. Images must adhere to community standards and uphold appropriate content guidelines.

Judges will consider the following criteria of each image:

• technical (exposure; depth of field; colour or tonal rendition; contrast; and lighting)


• visual and aesthetic appeal


• content (mood; emotion; relevance; subject; impact)


• general characteristics (originality; style; context; photographic vision)

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
